The Sheridan Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing program offers superior training and a pathway to apprenticeship as a plumber. Sheridan's plumbing program stands out from the rest with its excellent instructors, superior equipment and facilities, and a strong reputation among employers.
Sheridan's plumbing certificate program provides top-notch preparation for apprenticeship in the plumbing field. In just 28 weeks, learn the most current practices in the plumbing trade while earning a credential that employers will respect. It's the first step towards a career as a professional tradesperson.
Sheridan instructors have years of industry experience as plumbers and practitioners and contractors. They'll serve as mentors and career coaches long after you've graduated.
This program trains students for entry-level positions in the field of plumbing. Plumbers install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Students also learn how to conduct a job search, maintain proper work documentation, and communicate effectively on the job.
The skills you'll learn go beyond the minimum requirements to become a plumbing apprentice. You'll enter the workforce as a confident, capable plumbing apprentice with a solid foundation to build on.
As a student in our Plumbing – Mechanical Techniques program, you’ll work in labs designed to imitate the real-world workplace. Want a look inside? Take a virtual tour of our Framing and Plumbing Lab.
